themeegs This album is a real treat, and further proof that Australia apparently can't be stopped when it comes to an output of awesome bands. Favorite track: Resentment.

T'Phantom Peer This is everything prog should be. Superb songwriting, musicianship, and performance throughout. Hard to choose a particular track - listen to the whole thing, and marvel in the fantastic development, culminating in a final track where you just have to wind up the headphone volume until it blows you away.
This album is superb, and definitely my album of the year! Favorite track: Acceptance.
Stéphane Gallay

Stéphane Gallay Globalement, j’aime beaucoup cet album.

Entropy 09:40
ENTROPY Where’s the line Can no longer fight Just create a face to hide behind Safety in disguise The earths heartbeat It surrounds me But there’s still time’s nothing can satisfy the hole Behind the veil And am I The only one lost in this Game to fit in Always found a way to try and try again Like a moth to a flame When you no longer learn from your own mistakes Take a look at yourself You’re not safe in this place Should I fight to overcome this Weight of the world is tumbling down Id give my life just to feel this If there’s pain it means somethings there But can I hold on to that notion when, NO! Do I have time to Resolve what’s inside me Before the rage takes hold and LET GO! I can’t communicate what I need to These walls have made me feel half the soul you know I’m not who you see Have you seen all that’s inside me Opened up you’ll see right through me Need a way to overcome this Please stop my world from tumbling down Do I fight to overcome this Weight of the world is tumbling down I’d give my life just to feel this If there’s pain it means somethings there But can I hold on to that notion when What will I become when if I step into the unknown You’re in charge of your own history Find that light look for it within To be free You know who you are Will you let me stand on my own I will fight to overcome this Know I will If you want me to breath, I will If you want me to live, I will If you want me to fear, I will If you want me to see, I will If you want me to love, I will If you want me to hate, I will If you want me to fail, I will If you want me to breath, I will If you want me to live, I will If you want me to fear, I will If you want me to see, I will If you want me to love, I will If you want me to hate, I will If you want me to fail, I will If you want me to break, I will Be(cause) you want me to Know I am Be(cause) you want me to breath, I am Be(cause) you want me to live, I am Be(cause) you want me to fear, I am Be(cause) you want me to see, I am Be(cause) you want me to love, I am Be(cause) you want me to hate, I am Be(cause) you want me to fail, I am Be(cause) you need me to Break from the lines Just let go

Resentment 04:28
RESENTMENT Do you believe we’re born without power? Do you believe? Being fed we’re in some kind of danger Yes we are! They tolerate us Back in line! It’s the view from under glass ceilings they made Nothings more powerful than an idea When it’s the only one that you have Most dangerous people around us Know we won’t notice their game Stand up take your place There’s so many reasons we are who we are Who we are And maybe we’ll never know most of them All eyes on! The way they’ve chosen To lead us It’s the view from underneath We won’t let it go! Nothings more powerful than an idea When it’s the only one that you have Most dangerous people around us Know we won’t notice their game Stand up take your place now! Nothings more powerful than an idea Most dangerous people around us Know we won’t notice their game Nothing is more powerful than an idea Know we won’t notice their game Stand up take your place now

Clarity 10:43
CLARITY You can let it go You can let it go You will grow I’m not sure I will survive You will learn Teach me how to find my way You will grow Walls closing in I won’t survive You will learn Teach me how to find my way I can’t let it go I can’t let it go Take a look inside my head The land of hopes and dreams that will never be Let their oceans crash over me The hardest thing in life is to know yourself Stare into the mirror I don’t know who I am Not sure how it started I recall the taste of tears And now I hardly recognise myself Minutes turn to hours and days into years I can’t let it go I can’t let it go You will grow I’m not sure I will survive You will learn Teach me how to find my way You will grow Walls closing in I won’t survive You will learn Teach me how to find my way You can let it go I CAN let it go

Resilience 02:48
RESILIENCE Find strength Rest your head We’ve beared the weight of changing Repairing just takes time Before we need you to climb Look straight ahead Let go of glory and failure Repairing just takes time Before we need you Set your path straight ahead through the sea Sail right into the unknown Shed the weight of world in the wind Sail right into the sun Straight into the sun Sail into the sun Sail into the sun
6.
Idiosyncrasy 11:14
IDIOSYNCRACY I’m afraid that there will be a day When I become something for you to use To indifferently comfort another On that day we all stand to lose Ripping shreds off each other In a game you base on mistakes you say I’ve made And I might not know love or understand how to hate Still I believe in every word you say How could I know That you’d take everything that I had And make it the best part of you Ripping shreds off each other In a game you base on mistakes you say I’ve made And I might not know love or understand how to hate Still I believe in every word you say Together we have found everything you need I’m your statement and their effigy You need to bury everything that we are Take it all and burn it to the ground Together we have found everything you need I’m your statement and their effigy Bury Burn it What ever it takes to keep us all from falling apart All alone Won’t fall Don’t stay Just wait! Ripping shreds off each other In a game you base on mistakes you say I’ve made And I might not know love or understand how to hate

Acceptance 09:31
ACCEPTANCE Our time is near The end approaches Do your fear? Why can’t you see When it’s all over There’s no where I’d rather be The sun is so cold I’ve seen stars in your eyes How to let go of all of these emotions When the end is closer You’re the only one I see Take my hand I need you Don’t turn away from what we’ve got By the end it was on your face I don’t want remember the sound of those screams When it’s all over Why were you afraid to take me back to this place Where’s its sacred It was our place Don’t look away I see you now There’s always those moments You should believe in me When the darkness was here You stared out the window Now I don’t care It’s all in your eyes How we came to this Don’t be surprised It’s all in your eyes How we came to this Don’t be surprised It’s all in your eyes Don’t be surprised It’s all in your eyes Don’t be surprised

about

Hailing from Melbourne, Acolyte stands tall in the Australian music scene as a powerful and exploratory blend of classical and modern progressive rock.

Painting a vibrant musical landscape of theatrical melodies, crushing riffs, soaring leads and exemplary technical musicianship, Acolyte’s extensive achievements are somewhat surprising for a band so early in their career.

The band are now poised for success in 2021 with a stunning sophomore offering, brought to life by award-winning producers Prasheen Naran and Forester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus) at Melbourne’s Sing Sing Recording Studios.

‘Entropy’ is a confrontationally dark, raw, emotional, conceptual body of work, containing career defining performances from all members that is both crushingly cinematic and timeless in character.
